Second Company Colour

A question:

The TTDPatch Wiki suggests that the second company colour feature only works for vehicles.
It would seem logical that company related objects such as stations and headquarters could benefit from this option as well.
How difficult would it be to extend this feature in the Patch?

I noticed that certain TTDX items such as grass and trees use some of the green shades specified for second company colour use, so it probably would be necessary to limit use to specific items. Would this be a feature killer?
