double ended trains

sorry if it's posted in the wrong section, I have just recieved access to the 'T.I.M' train, it's one of the double ended ones, i have started converting all my diesel trains to electric, had tryed to put the T.I.M's on and it only puts down the front car not both, is there something wrong with it or is that how it is supposed to be

Hold the CTRL-key while building another engine. This will then become the second head, or even a third or forth one.
