Too many vehicles in game

Is there any trick for getting more vehicles in the game again? Except for removing other vehicles or choosing a harder next game? Is there maybe a patch or something?
Please help me out!

Yes, there is a patch - TTDPatch. You can have up to 240 vehicles without the morevehicles switch, and thousands of vehicles with it!

Recently downloaded TTDPatch, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting the morevehicles command working. Being a bit braindead, could someone tell me the exact command line you use for more vehicles?

Something like:

ttdpatch [other switches] -x 2

will do what you want. You'll probably find it easier to create a TTDPATCH.CFG file (use ttdpatch -W ttdpatch.cfg to do this) and then modify it with a text editor.

Actually, never mind. I figured it out. Now, next thing. How to get full screen mode in XP!

The More Vehicles switch is a multiplier, i.e. setting to 3 make available Max number of vehicles in the game x 3. So, usual factor is 2, 3, or 4. Setting it to 1000 looks to much and could make your saved games bigger...

morevehicles can only be from 0 to something or other, which is below 10, and therefore way below 10,000!

Anyway, for details on how to get TTD running in full screen mode on XP, see the TTDPatch manual. (You need to right-click on ttdpatchw.exe, go to Compatibility, and set Win98 compatibility mode)

This is what you do


install the game after you do your patches and so on ,you open the game configuration or go to start ,find the TTD folder and look for the config .open it ,click the display tab .theres five settings for diplay .if im right 3-5 are full screeen .pick one choose apply then cancel and run TTDpatch .with any luck it should be running full screen

That would work for Windows 95/98/ME, but not for NT/2000/XP - you'd need to set compatibility mode as I said earlier.

I have Xp and my copy of TTD is in full version mode
