WIN XP and com3

Hi all
I looked trough the forum here and so far no one has tha problem I am having....It says that it can not find a com 3 device. ie no mouse
then continues to load the game and then exits it.

I was hoping someone might have the answer to this..
I have tried installing a com 3 but XP won't allow that as well as looking in my bios for com3 no luck

You're trying to use the DOS version of TTD on Windows XP. You need to get the Windows version (see "New TT Download Locations") and TTDPatch. See the TTDPatch docs for information on installing it all, or see some of the other Windows XP threads here.
