how to remove track across a road?

first, i don't want to clear the road.

second, sometimes my track across other company's road, when i want to remove the track(replace by monorail), it tell me that i can't clear this area.

so , how to clear it? buy that company? too expansive

or, use sign cheat? but i don't want to convert all my track

i think you want to do this: you select the type of track you want to remove, then you click on the bulldozer sign, this will change the color of the track to red, now click on the track you want to remove
this should remove your track , and leave the road under it unharmed, no you can lay the new type of track

you can remove it too , but it has to be the same direction !!!
so chose the track that is the same , click on the bulldozeer and remove the track !
