ttd patch

i have tried ttd patch every way possible and have yet to get it to work. when i run the dos version it goes thru the patching when i start it, but i get none of the new features. my configuration file shows them all but in the game i dont see any of them. does anyone have a step by step procedure for installing the windows or dos version. thanks.

Have you read the TTDPatch manual to see how you actually use the patches from within the game? New buttons, etc, are not created, with the exception of the Load Game menu item and the Bribe local authority option, IIRC.
