I'm not sure it's worth doing all the images you see in posting.php , such as "Preview", "Submit", "Save draft", "Cancel", "Add the file". Those don't look like images.

Throughout all those years nobody complained about lacking snow and now boo, Purno's given a decent polish to the winter theme

I'm considering to give the icons in viewforum.php a good snow-treatment too. I don't really have a good overview of all the buttons available there though, and perhaps the screen would get too crowded if I add snow there too. Additionally some icons are animated, and I lack the skills and tools to make those.

Opinions?

The board is theme able, which suggests someone could design a theme and upload it somewhere, and a board administrator can then download such a theme and drop it somewhere at the server.

If that is really the case, it's likely such themes contain all sprites of the board.

And the rankbars and emoticons please. I don't think that'd count as overdoing. They're only small elements anyways. The icy background tiles count way more pixels

I've split up the emoticons in seperate files, with transparency. See attachment.

The only thing I can't do is make an animated GIF.
I've made the frames for the bowdown emoticon, both with the same size. I hope someone else can turn those 2 frames into an animated GIF.

Not really, I just glanced through http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/anim_basics/ and did a little copy/paste/adapt trial and error until it looked sort of ok
