Username change requests

As regular users will know, we only allow usernames to be changed sporadically. If you'd like your username changed, now is the time to request it. This topic will remain open for a month or so probably.

As usual, I reserve the right not to change any username if for some reason I deem the change to be unsuitable, but usually there won't be a problem.

Given that Dave hasn't logged in in over 10 years now, and that his e-mail address is with a host that no longer exists, that might be a possibility.

He logged in once for half an hour on the day he created his account in 2008. Maybe I will have to wait until 2018 and ask again then.

I haven't forgotten. They'll get changed when I feel the time is right. Perhaps at the end of the month.

Does anyone have any objections to any of these name changes?

Don't flatter yourself Dave. As you expressed yourself everybody thought that using a name of a past user would not be allowed. It is thus likely that after it appears to be possible that other people may also want to have their names changed...

I think that in addition to "formely known as Dave W", Dave should also add a reference to be a trendsetter in his signature.

He deserves this flattery, and old unused accounts deserve to know who stole their usernames!
