Username change requests

Post by orudge »

It's been a little while, so if anybody wants their username changed, please post in this topic with your desired new username. As always, no silly posts ("I want my username "X" to stay just as it is!") please, or I may get irritated, which may result in bad things happening. This topic will be open for a few weeks for requests to be posted. No changes are guaranteed, but the majority are likely to go through if nobody objects.

Will be odd to see it change! Hyronymus is so engrained in my mind - it's even what I called you at the London meet in person (although I know that I should have called you by your real name...)

It's the end of a tradition tbh but Nescio is a nice change after 15 years on the internet.

I would like my username to be changed to "Xrufu" please. If that is not available, I would like my username to be "Jazzy". Thanks.

[Edit] I thought of Xrufu last night, and I prefer it over Jazzy.

When will the next round of username changes be announced, and if it's not before the autumn, might there be a chance of a special name change around that time?

I usually tend to do them in theory every few months, usually depending on how many people have sent me PMs asking for name changes in the weeks/months before. (Very few of which seem to have posted in this thread, but oh well, I did tell them to keep an eye out for it!) So possibly there may be one come August or so.

That's okay then. Potential jobs might require me to hide my identity :P

Hahaha it's less about that and more about the fact I might be going into the rail industry and I don't want my name attributed to any outlandish railway-based comments that my potential bosses might dislike :P

The rest can stay ;)

Sorry for the OT Rudge ;)

So, any final requests? Otherwise, I'll make the following changes on Friday:

neg -> oberhümer
tommietomato -> 73129
Cornflower -> Xrufu
OzTransLtd -> OzTrans
Monaro Doorslammer -> Doorslammer

Hyronymus: I see your original message apparently wants your nickname changed to "Iamaweiner" - checking the moderation logs suggests a certain mischievous moderator may be responsible for that. But nevertheless, it would be my preference not to change the username of a moderator, mainly as it's less confusing for everybody that way.

If anyone objects to any of these, post now or forever hold your peace. ;)

OK, all users have been changed now. All users who have had their usernames changed, please amend your signature to include a "Formerly known as x" message. OzTrans, Doorslammer and ElNounch are exempt from this as their changes were minor.
