New "Forum Games" subforum

In response to the growing number of games in the Off-Topic forum, a Forum Games subforum has been created in the Off-Topic forum. The same normal forum rules apply, and spamming is not condoned in this new forum. Please read the rules that the new Forum Games moderator has posted (or is going to post).

Also, if you hadn't noticed, jonty-comp is the new moderator of the Forum Games forum. Welcome to the team, jonty, and good luck!

If anyone has any questions about the new forum, or spots any threads that need moving, post a message here. ("Whacha listening 2 @ da moment" doesn't count as a game.)

Shouldn't games/list-threads like How far N/S/E/W have you been and The Thread Of Randomness be in the games forum too? I'm not too sure about the first one, but the secound one i think definitely is a game?

Yeah but they are transport based, so they are good enough to stay there i think. The rest of the games are "random".

Plus that those games gives you also knowledge about other trains and stations. Those are "educational games"

I do feel I should come up with some sort of rule that defines what is a game and what isn't. Any suggestions?

Yes, I think some proper rules and objectives for the game are essential. ThorRune, it depends how pointless it is. Some of the threads I've seen in OT are so pointless they defy description.

It's a thread for all things random. Musings and the such. And the boasting of new shoses.

I would say that neither of those are games, and they are valid to stay in Off-Topic.

That's my opinion too. I cannot see what harm it'll do to move it to the forum games subforum.
