Dude, he's closer to Canada when he's in Scotland than Brazil.

If that is indeed true Dave, that's very interesting.

I dunno if it's true... I just wanted to put him off keep asking Owen to go to places in Canada.

EDIT: According to Google Earth:

St Andrews to Toronto - 3,327.48 mi
Rio de Janeiro to Toronto - 5,121.85 mi

Obviously these are rough estimates, since it's Google Earth.

I was clearly right :P

Same land mass. As Brazil you could drive to from Canada except it's not suggested you do that.

(Don't bother doing that though, you'll probably get hijacked in Mexico if you try something like that)

Plus he's on this site of the Alantic Ocean. No point in going back across it then coming back?

PS, if you do come to Canada don't fly to Torontos Airport. It has the highest landing taxes in the world. Well that is unless you have the money.
Image I like Articulated Buses or Streetcars (Although I really like anything with wheels including planes, Thanks to Seelenquell for making Toronto's ALRV and CLRV for Locomotion. All we need now is a TTC D40LF and D60LF to go with the LRVs. Plus the Scarborough RT vehicles too.)
Resion for the LRV's is to make a good alternative to buses. Visit Here for more info.

But why DRIVE to Brazil when you might as well just get a plane!?

And besides... It depends how you see Britain in relation to Europe when you refer to "this side of the Atlantic.

I personally have such a desire to see us away from the EU that I consider us closer to the Canadian coast.

(Unfortunately no matter how much I try, I can't get Google Earth to show that I'm closer to Canada than Europe.)

Either way - it's quicker between St Andrews and Toronto then Rio and Toronto

Yep. Also what's interesting is every year, we move about 2 feet (I think it was well it was something 2 ether 2 feet or 2 meters) away from Europe. So Canada is getting farther away ever year!!!

Yeah I would like for England to be closer to Canada too so I could visit it more frequently. Plus if you notice all the fencing on the Chunnel is on the French Side so obviously French are the only people Illegally getting into England. (Well that's judging from the fence location)

If it was closer to Canada then you guys will be able to fly cheaper since it will be less distance. (To Canada that is)

Also one great thing. Canada is cool (so is England) so you would enjoy it. We got loads of history and tours.

As much as I hate the French, I doubt very much that French Nationals are escaping to the UK.

Try putting in Recife, I'm closer to that than Rio de Janeiro. Recife's in the north, Rio in the south.

Anyway, I'd best pay up this R$1.50 and go, barbeque!

Right, I'm going to lock this now as it is kind of off-topic. I'll be back on the 11th August or so, be good until then. ;) Feel free to continue this discussion in Off-Topic.
