Forum downtime

I have decided I will install the phpBB attachment mod. The forums will be closed for a short period tonight while I get it installed and test it.

But you will have problems if you update the forum on a new version?

Boh, I make a backup of the DB, we never know...

Well, I shouldn't have problems updating to a new phpBB version. I would have to install the phpBB update, then reinstall the attachment mod using an update script, I think. I will take a backup of the DB just in case.

I didn't have time to install the script tonight - I'll do it tomorrow night.

It'll probably be some time between 5.30pm and 6.00pm GMT. The actual upload and installation procedure will probably only take 10 minutes or so at most - you will get a "The forums are closed" message or similar during that period.
