Howdy,
what's the best way to transport passengers? Star-shaped from the main station, or circular?
How would you arrange the transport in either cases? Star-shaped obviously with at least one train per connected city?
Cheers!

Re: Passenger Transport Logistics
Depends what you want to accomplish, really. If you want to maximize realism, then the second option may be nicer.
If you want to maximize profit, it generally boils down to having long distances. Up to a certain optimum, the longer the distance the higher the profit. And that would bring you to the star shaped network in this particular case.
From a more logistical point of view: the star shape requires a lot of platforms at the center city. While in the circular shape you can do with one or two platforms in each town (depending if you want one-way or two-way traffic).

There's a third option... pretty much an expansion of the 1st option presented by OP.
Let there be the "star" hub at all 5 cities.
You might end up with a system resembling something like this...
(I'd never thought I'd be drawing a stick figure like this ever...)
