a good tip for forward planning...

Post by minardifans »

This is a method I've always applied when always playing TT, TTD or Locomotion. What I do is when I have say 3 or 4 large towns/cities early on in the game, I build a loop of track around it, as close as I can to the boundaries of the town/city. I then build about 4 to 6 stations on this line spread out around the town/city. Then I don't use them. I wait until the town/city grows big and envelopes these lines and they become "in the city". Then I simply buy a sprinter or small train and run them around the city. It makes loads of money.

Admittedly, it is likely that a small train will make SOME money already at the start, and as time progresses, this line can be expanded. Why not make money instantly?
