before and after (img)

heres a cool pic, at least, i think its cool.

i was testing out the US set and some of my graphics and ive been playing on and off every day, so i have a before and after shot of the rr.

the first pic was taken in 1922, when the town was refusing to let me lay track and add another station (note the bare dirt) the second, taken in the game's current state in 1986... quite a change!

the pics are taken at exactly the same place (or at least i aligned them that way) this is where the rr started and the two original lines still remain, if changed slightly.

its really neat to see the growth and changes areound the area, just like in real life.

theres such a great story behind every game in ttd, some might think im crazy, but we make our own little world and history every time we play.

Take a look in the 'Finished Graphics' topic in the Graphics forum.

[/OT]

The growing of the TTD world is one of the aspects of TTD I've always liked most.
I heard the stories that they tell of how they labored for this company which sold it's soul to hell

actually i did the gridless by myself, since none of the available gridless mods seem to get everything, and A LOT have that repetitiveness and even bad color palletes.

lets just say i did it myself.

wow, norfolk... nice development... I never get my towns huge, they always stay small, lol... yeah, I think I'm pretty good at the game, but really I'm a noob...
and I'm jealous about the amazing rail networks you people make... (I actually tried to right-click your image to scroll around the map to see the whole thing...) my trains always get lost in there... I don't even understand pre-signals and have never used them... tried once, and they caused me more trouble than joy... the game I'm playing right now, i think my rail network is quite good... some 80 trains in there, none of them getting lost... and many more trains on single tracks... but it really came together through plenty of trial and error... too bad i haven't got a before picture, but i guess I can get in an after-picture...
eh?
