Yes, but I'll download a demo first, and if it doesn't meet up to my expectations I'll 'obtain' the full version, and if that does meet up to my expectations, I'll get a legal version.

If the reviews on here are favourable I'll see about a demo. If I enjoy that, then I'll probably get it. If I don't then I'll stick with TTDPatch

Let's be fair: Buy it

Post by pcatala »

I got my copy of TTDX in a not very legal way as there was no bloody way to find the game. After hundreds if not thousands of hours enjoying it, I think it makes sense to pay Chris Sawyer back for all the entertainment that I got from his talent, and I will do that by buying locomotion, no matter how good the game is...

(Although I expect it to be VERY good!)

Given that I have Transport Tycoon, Transport Tycoon: World Editor and Transport Tycoon Deluxe all sitting the in cupboard of my desk here, it seems only fitting to complete the set.

Even if I do have to wait til it comes down from the $80 new release price tag.

I'm in the same situation. Almost ten years playing with not so legal copies and now I want to pay for it! Thanks Chris!!!

Of course! I still have my old TT original demo. That was what got me hooked in the first place. This'll be just like playing for the first time again...good times.

Anecdote: The original demo came with no documentation, so I didn't know what the hell I was doing but I LOVED THE GAME ANYWAY...Only when I bought the full game did I figure out the "right" way to play.

How young, naïve, how addicted I was...and still am...

I'd still play it even if there were no improvements to Graphics! I regularly still play 320x200 resolution games that make TT look futuristic. Balanced with the occasional Halo, UT, or WC3. But mostly TT. And TTD.

Now I'll STFU.
