Hi,

I was wondering if I could run OpenTTD from a flashdrive without it saving newGRFs and stuff in the user directory of the pc (Windows 7).
I managed to install Graphic, Music and Sounds manually in the installation folder but when I download the new content online it saves them in the user directory as well as some other files.

There is a way to store evrything in the local installation directory?

Thanks so much,

Winthorp

Yes, create an empty file next to the openttd executable called openttd.cfg

When present, OpenTTD will use that to store its settings and all downloaded content will go into (a subdirectory) of the executable as well.
