[OTTD] - lobsters onscreen adventures

Post by lobster »

welcome all, won't you.

this is my own and personal screenshot thread, in which i'll display my immense TTD'ing powers towards an unsuspecting audience, thereby spreading terror and fear across TTD-land. hahaha! now, onwards with them screenshots!

first up are ones of my current AUSSET game, back when it was still called AUSSET and not the thing i really can't remember. enjoy, won't you.

NOTE: these screens are from a game with "advanced town handling" ON! i am the Darth Vader of advanced town handlings, tackling it big f*** time!

Good screenshots, the trees really make a difference (as does Terragenesis' new tree generator ;)).

So..it'll be a while before we see passenger stations because it costs millions just to bulldoze a few buildings in the way? :P You might as well save your money and fund a few coal mines because it's that expensive, unless the town is small. IMHO advanced town handling harms gameplay, not the other way around.

EDIT: Do you mind if I censor your filter-bypassing swear words when I quote you?

Nice screenshots, I think the trees, grass, rails go well together
Would you mind listing your grfs you used, I'm very interested, it is the look I would like to try out later :)

Did roads have stripes like that in the 40s?

I like the old buildings in OpenTTD. It's a shame that they're all gone in 20 years. ):

1. the new tadhattan iron ore line. it's quite cute. profit's expected to be high.

2. a roro-ing of the original coal/steel terminal. works like a charm.

another update: a heavy junction that should've gotten an update quite some time ago now has a new line which stops it from jamming all the time. it may not look very pretty, but it works.

on a another note, the first goods service is about to start. about to? yes, the local authority near the factory hasn't been very satisfied with the way things have been run by Lendinghead transport. so it might take a while before we'll see the first goods train rolling into Suntfingbridge.

Ah, my plan is to start a new game using this very set, possibly later today. Some nice little shots there. :)

Findinghead Cross turned out to be quite the little city. and with a good city, comes a good city station, although there's not yet any passenger transportation.
