OpenTTD 0.4.8 RC2

Post by Darkvater »

A little later than the supposed one week, RC2 is out. It has fixed the ghastly production-bug, and some minor others. Please test this version even better than RC1 :)

Downloads: Changelog:

- Feature: Add Italian town names as we have an official Italian translation

- Codechange: Verify the presence of music files in the gm/ folder. This should also solve some 100% CPU buildup for some users.

- Fix: Certain combinations of trains crash when moved around inside the depot.

- Fix: Reversed arrow-sign in the multiplayer list column headers on sort by name

- Fix: Industry production change button doesn't work for oilrig passangers.

- Fix: Helicopters stopping in depot after autorenew/autoreplace

- Fix: MorphOS crashes when you go a level up in the root level

- Fix: UDP sockets were used even if network-availability was set to false

- Fix: Crash when trying to build a vehicle type that is set to a max of zero
Note, the production bug is not present in the list as it was an unfortunate glitch in RC1, but trust me, it is gone :). If possible drop RC1 as soon as possible because the production bug greatly hampers playability.

No, it was caused by me porting back a fix to 0.4/ improperly.

Thanks Rexxie, totally forgot to put up a link to downloads in the starting post

:D
Well - it's easily solvable, you just have to try a bit. ;)
Anyhow - great that RC2 is out anyway - so any Player#1 will be able to use industry.

Hi I just want to point out one thing.

In my computer Ahtlon 64 3200+ with Windows x64 the 32bit version of Openttd doesn't work properly. The music plays so slow, and sometimes there are delays in the game. I tested this with the onboard sound AC97 and also with a Soundblaster live. With both cards the sound doesn't work properly.

With the x64 compiled version all this problems disappear. So in my case the official Openttd is not compatible with Windows x64.

So thanks for your version!

Bye!

That was exactly the reason I started to make this port. Good to know somebody else finds it useful.
