Don't forget the projects in Japan (that looks similar to the maglev tracks in TTDx)
I'm lost in space. Visiting mother earth once in a while.

Here are a post I made in anItalian forum. Tomorrow I translate it...if anyone other do it.

Li raggiungerà i 400 Km/h.).

8) Megalevs exist, they are great, but you cant make a huge complex system, just look at Pic 2...
I think they will not be implemented, to expensive to run, and too complex... Railroad has been since the 1880s and there are still the leading option, much better than monorail (and faster too).
:)

Maglev will be the future, they take a lot of space , yes, but it will only be on major lines between the capitols, abit like the current TGV between brussels and london
anyway they rule in my games !
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

I thonk that the Japanese Maglevs are two: the first has a maxiumum speed of 300 Km/h, the second can made 500 Km/h but it works as real maglev only over 100 Km/h. If it is slower than 100 Km/h, it go on rubber whells (correct? it use the same type wheels as buses). Both trains go over rails similar as U (similar to TTD maglevs).binari a U.

The best system is the German Transrapid that go at 500 Km/h on curves of ray of 5 Km, and 300 Km/h on curves of ray of 1,5 Km. Is in project a line Hamburg-Berlin, and another line under construction in China (that links the city of Padung, I think, with its airport, far about 40 Km. The maxiumum speed is 400 Km/h.) In Germany it exists a small line of 30 Km, I think it is opened to public. Who wants try a maglev...

In Switzerland are in project two maglev lines, from north to south and east to west, all underground.Visit http://www.swissmetro.ch for more info.

The record of a maglev is about 550 Km/h, but can be they go faster, we don't know. We must have a long straight line to test...
