Too fast
Too fast
hi,
i have been playing TTDX on my old machine (Pentium 75) for quite sometime until the machine ran into problem late last year. However, I managed to get my hands on the TTDX for the windows version ( u know, the one with the FISH logo) and I installed it on my notebook (Pentium III - 733 mhz) but I found that the game is running too fast for me. the number of days per minute of actual gameplay is 30days for 3-4 minutes.
Is there a way to slow things down? Pls help me

Rome didn't built a great empire by having meetings,
they did it by killing all those who oppose them!!

You can't change the speed of TTD, and I don't know if the speed depends on the processor speed.
I can't hel you, but i tell you that with TTD Patch ( http://www.ttdpatch.com ) you can change the year of the game. I use this system to return back to 1950 when I arrive at 2070 (the maximum year you can have in a game. All years after 2070 are called 2070: 2067, 2068, 2069, 2070, 2070, 2070, .......).

Good advice
Use this CHEAT when you get to 2070
Put a sign and change the text in:
Cht: Year 2030
This will get you back to that year, i use 2030 because then you still have the maglevs, if you turn back to 1950 then you can't buy them anymore because they only appear after 2000
Or am i dreadfully wrong

Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future
Once you can build maglev and go back to 1950, you can still build the maglev...spaceman-spiff wrote:Good advice

still, i had the situation that i had nothing in my depots
because i had used the reloadengines cheat, this is the cheat to reload all engines with their new data (TTDaltered)
and there was nothing to build in a maglev depot because they became outdated or weren't there yet
then i used the allengines cheat
Or it was a mixture, i'm not quit sure yet, it's long ago

Anyway: There's no way I know of that you can change the game speed...

There are programs for that.orudge wrote:Not without doing some serious hacking with the timer routines anyway.
There's something called GameWizard. It's Dos only for all I know.
With that little program, you can slow down games. Doesn't work for all games. If you really want to slow it down, use GW.

whoa,
I went to sleep for a while and I get a whole lot of response. This is the best forum I've ever been into. Thanks for the advice. I got the slowdown program called Turbo but it slows down the cursor movement and it feels as though I'm having one of those carpal tunnel syndrom attack.
But lemme try the year cheat first and see how it feels like. Again thanks a million everyone. This is definitely the friendliest forum i've been with.
