No, this is a simple game without any newgrf things. Just your plain old standard modern chopper (camouflaged )

Patchman said he fixed it in a42, and I have not managed to duplicate the problem since[0]. Do either of you (Andrex, Darkvater) have saves, or better yet, can you give a reliable method of reproducing the problem?

I've had this bug too, in my case it cycles through all the graphics, in black and white. Quite funny to see a huge ship rotating on top of a tiny chopper. I can post the save game if anyone wants to see it.

The New York City game is really old - dating back to before 2000. There weren't that many railway guides around then. And he does admit that it's a bad network - see the entry on the Repository.
i had that very same problem. i cant remember where i poste about it, but it was mainly my helicopter rotor. it wasnt there. instead it was replaced by EVERY graphic on th game! but the odd thing was, that it happened with a few different copters, and some none atall
