Dutch style town names v2.0 (Oct 7)

Post by ReFa »

I've now finnished version 2.0 of the Dutch style townnames as an addition to the excisting options for the townnames in the scenarioeditor.
It works without losing any of the other options.

If you've any suggestions or questions or if you find an error, please tell me

Changes in version 2.0
-added some more names
-towns with names ending on "berg", "bergen" and "heuvel" will only appear on hills and mountains
-towns with names ending on "aan Zee", "water" , "haven", "meer" and "duinen" will only appear on coasts

Before I try this, is it really a generator of "Dutch-style" town names, or just a list of "Dutch" town names? Is the former possible yet? The problem with purely lists of town names is that people associate the names with locations and relationships.

It is really a generator of Dutch-style names.
At the moment with >1700 possibilities.
I'm going to make a screenshot of the names and add that to
my first message to make it clear for everyone.

Wow I like found a massive bug with this.
Make a random landscape. Choose like 70 towns. You'll get like 4 if any. And if you try to place more, "Error: Too many towns"
eh wot?

why did you have to dig this up? I made a Dutch style townames (90 names so it will be enough) too and that is a working version 100% AFAIK. With real names. (I make a imaginary version too soon)
