If that didn't work then it wouldn't surprise me...
This branch of development is now on hold until further notice.
The save shows it. Vehicles become split

I need to rewrite the code i've created. :x
Currently the vehicles are able to think tooooo much and it's causing great problems.
I'll be working on this in spare time, no hope is lost... but I'll need a lot of spare time.

Yeah, that's the main issue with those bloody stops... It'll all get sorted in due time...

All the time you need, you can even borrow my time machine!

Seriously, good luck, we sincerely hope you get it right.

*breathes life back into this project*...

Peeps, more work has been done, I believe it's baked enough for a taster.
Currently I'm having collision issues at drive-thru busstops, seems that trailers get confused and disappear on the next corner.
Don't even mention 'normal' bus stops (bays)... they're to be worked on next.
And there seems to be cool traffic jams every now and then, but that's because I had a huge amount of diverging traffic in one location.

Anyway, enjoy... and as per usual, comments are welcome. :P

edit: ... of course, see the first post for the files!
edit again: ... if you happen to get an aRV driving around without it's trailers, send it to a depot, then UTurn it and send it to the depot again and it'll be fixed. It's no 'special move', it's just the way the turn-cache works.

uhmm... that's a good question, I have not tried more than three.
There is currently no hard-coded limit. So, add some more and tell me what happens

btw, you still have to code them in the GRF, there is no ability to 'attach' vehicles in the depots.

I want to point out, that the trailers are running very smooth now, instead of this jerking in the last revision. 8)

When I specify more than 2 trailers, it shows only 2 trailers anyway. :?

Other than Australia, is there anywhere where more than 2 trailers are seen?

RK, please send me your GRF.
krtaylor, in Japan, some of the trams had up to 5 parts.

Hmm, that seems quite a few. Mostly I have seen two, or three actually but only two visible. As for road vehicles, in the US you will have a cab and two trailers sometimes, but not more. I know the Aussies have road-trains of more, but I don't know how many.

I'm pretty sure I've seen triples on 80/90. (Northern Indiana and Ohio.)

And Aussies will quite happily attach five or more trailers to one prime mover. The record is, I believe, over one hundred trailers. (116? 121?)
[EDIT: The Guinness Book of World Records says the record is 113.]
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

3-Trailer Road Vehicles are scary enough to overtake (even if there is no speed limit).

...anyway... back on track...:

Introducting Revision 6:
-Drive-Thru Truck Stops
-You can no longer send aRVs to 'normal' stations. (I may change this later, but they don't seem to fit the mould anyway...) [would prefer to create new station styles]
-DO NOT ALLOW aRVs TO ENTER NORMAL STOPS (ie. if they're at the end of a dead-end road)... the game will currently crash.

as per usual, see the first thread.
