Dutch Forum/Nederlands TT-forum

Post by Stoney3K »

[english]
Having a lot of Dutch users on TT-forums, it could be an idea to put up a Dutch section in the TT-forums. MayB discussing graphics/sounds/maps of Dutch material and terrains.
[/english]

Oftewel: Er zitten een hoop Nederlanders op TT-Forums.net en misschien een goed idee om een Nederlandse forumsectie op te zetten. Discussies over NS materieel, Nederlandse maps en graphics of iets dergelijks.

We asked that thousands of times... :-)

Forgot why it's never happened

But if you have webspace or something, why not host your own?

I think it would be a good idea, even though I am not Dutch, considering the amount of Dutch Folk on this forum... I reckon it would be in great demand!!

hmmm, would be a idea, but see how much we had to do to change the ttdpatch forum in smaller parts, I don't think we ever get this...

Why don't you just wait for a reply from Owen? I kind of doubt the benefits of a dutch forum here. I know there are many dutch people but before you know you will have an american forum, a german forum etc. It also creates a place for dutch people to talk about other forum members who simply won't know what's been written. This will happen sooner or later, despite our own feelings that we will never do such thing.

I don`t like this idea, it will divide us in small groups. As mentioned before someone else will have a forum for his/her langauge and so on. Everyone speaks english, more or less, so I don´t see the need for another forum.

No international forums, sorry. This question has been asked before (particularly for Dutch forums), but it would divide the community in various ways, and also, most of the admins/mods don't understand Dutch!

D0h ;)

When you don't speak English it's no use going onto the Internet. Or you'll need to face some VERRRY p00r translations.

We might be able to put up a piece in the Graphics forum for the Dutch and other "real" railway/road/bus/ship/plane material. You know, where you can post photos of material and do suggestions of new vehicles.

No thats a bad idea, you will get a complete mix of languages, confuseing people, people things that stuff is already discussed and will get confused when the same thing will be discussed "in the other language" twice.

Simply NO

By the way remove your non english post in one of the graphic threads,
or I will do it...

I don't mean the language... I mean the material and vehicles from specific companies (NS, DB, ÖBB, SBB, British Rail, Amtrak, SNCF, aircraft: Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed,... Bus: DAF, VDL, Bova, MAN, Mercedes)

That's what I mean, not that we quit speaking English...

what would that have anything to do with dutch? Amtrak, and all the Airplane companies are American, British Rail is...well...British, and I don't know about other stuff
