Ah, yes, Daniel Larsson. I bought him in my Football Manager 2011 savegame with a somewhat modified Worcester City side for £800,000 after Parma got relegated... We've beaten Barcelona three times in one season, including a 3-1 win at the Nou Camp...

It'll be interesting who will end up being England's 3rd keeper now (due to Ben Foster's temporary retirement, David James being ancient and Scott Carson playing in Turkey).

I have to bump this topic. Why? BECAUSE SWEDEN JUST BEAT THE NETHERLANDS AND QUALIFIED FOR THE 2012 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP. We're qualified! Yes we are!!! We won 3-2, amazing amazing performance.

Quote digging but whatever.

#1 will be Hart obviously. The reserves for the Macedonia game were Carson and Stockdale. This surprised me a bit, I can understand Carson, sure he's playing in Turkey but that makes no difference really, he's not the best but he does have a bit of experience. What surprised me was Stockdale. The Premier League has 4 regular English keepers, Hart, Foster, Robinson and Ruddy. Two of those have retired and this may just sound like a Norwich fan blowing his own team's trumpet (especially given that Stockdale is currently at Ipshit) but surely a weekly Premier League shot stopper is better than a Championship one, even if he doesn't get any minutes?

Best runner up. Congrats to the Sweedish team. England topped a poor group to be fair. Wales at first were garbage, bulgaria, montenagro & swizterland are ok but nothing special. To be Fair if i was Fabio Capello i would play the following at the euro finals

GK Joe hart
RB Micha Richards
CB Phil Jagialka
CB Chris Smalling or Rio Ferdinand
LB Leighton Baines

RM Theo Walcott
CM Scott Parker
CM Steven Gerrard (Fittness allowing)
LM Ashley Young

CF Wayne Rooney
ST Darren Bent

Playing in a 4 - 4 - 1 - 1 Formation

Squad members
John Terry
Ashley Cole
Frank Lampard
Stuart Downing
Gareth Barry
Peter Crouch
Phill Jones
Glen Johnson
Robert Green
Micheal Carrick
Aron Lennon
Jack wiltshire
Micheal Dawson
Jermain Defo

I'd go for:

HART
RICHARDS
TERRY
JONES
COLE

DOWNING
WILSHERE
GERRARD
YOUNG

ROONEY/DEFOE
BENT

with subs:

CARSON
PARKER
FERDINAND
BAINES
CROUCH
BECKHAM
WALCOTT
LAMPARD
etc.

Milner and Barry would be nowhere near the squad, as they are terrible.

Barry is ok but milner is not an international player at all. £24million worth of average talent.

my 3rd keeper would be steve harper of newcastle

The Brits really do have trouble finding a number one keeper these days, do you? Or is Joe Hart making it work properly?

Joe Hart owns the number 1 jersey now, really. (Cue howler vs Spain). It's the depth in the goalkeeping department that is the problem. I used to like Ben Foster, but now he's off the radar.

the issue with english football is that most midfield players in the center have limited ability against the likes of spain, france, Germany, Brazil, Argentina possibily even holland. We seem to play an annoying style which is based on stamina were we try and out run the opposition with limited success against more technically gifted players like xavi vs lampard for example or gerrard vs iniesta.

You English you... You beat us with a very non-top team. First time in almost 50 years too. Did you know that before this game, you had failed to beat Sweden in 12 consecutive fixtures? Shame shame shame on you babe.

Also, we suck as always. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not in the right place for our national team. We need to play 4-4-1-1 with him behind the striker (the striker being.. We have no genuine strikers in Sweden).

You didn't do too bad in the qualifiers though? Even beat the Netherlands 3-2 in the last game right?

Yeah, we did. Without Ibrahimovic on the field, too. He's too lazy. We should honestly play without him if we can't find a way to include him well. His game playing does not at all match the people around him. Stupid lazy arrogant Ibrahimovic :P
