I started playing again the last few days after quite a long hiatus, and I grabbed a couple of random screenshots that I felt were fun. Not sure if I'm ready to try a story again, and I can't pick up from the last since my old computer fried

. The first is of a failed attempt to build a winding road up a mountain to make the trek faster for my little Wright's Hopper Steam Trucks carrying coal being shipped in for the power plant. After several time-trials the more direct route was the fastest, despite the intense speed reduction on the inclines.

Of course realistic rv acceleration is on, and I'm using eGRVTS, but avoiding the 0hp carriages. The second is just of a little steel station with tons of flyovers... um, and that's all that is exciting about it. lol. I guess I just liked watching the trains especially since it's been so long since I played.

As an aside.. does anyone know about the pathfinding behavior of rv's? Specifically, my trucks seemed to automatically choose the faster route in terms of seconds to immediate destination (even when I really wanted them to choose the pretty winding road I built!) and I went through the process of timing each route to be sure they were correct in their choice. Were the trials necessary? Does the game choose the best route even accounting for slowdowns on slopes and curves, etc.? I guess I'm expecting it to choose the least number of tiles over actual speed.
