My server got a new router yesterday which is now causing a bit of connection troubles before DNS is updated worldwide. I'm also going to replace the server itself pretty soon.

Hello,

I am currently working on integrating 32bpp Extra Zoom and "Another Daylength Patch". Later on I also want to integrate the "Vehicle Type Cargo Payment Modifiers".

I found that the daylength patch does not patch fully against openttd-32bpp-ez-r21891 -- there is no settings.ini in that revision but instead a settings.h. I manually transferred the change made in settings.ini to settings.h from r21891, but unfortunately it doesn't work. It compiles fine but crashes with a failed assertion when you try to access the advanced settings screen ingame.

Plan B is to use the latest revision from openttd trunk and patch that with 32bpp EZ. I noticed the last commit to the EZ project was in January... is there any chance that this will still patch against the current revision of openttd trunk? Does anybody know an easy way to get up to date sources with 32bpp EZ support?

Thanks,

Chris

there are no and were never .ini files in openttd

the last successful patching and building was with r22250:
http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/32bpp-ez ... ng/LATEST/

no idea, if that will work ingame ;-)

/me wonders what *.ini files I added in src/table then in r22210 :)

The game settings have been split, and moved into several *.ini files. In addition, a settingsgen program has been added that takes those files and constructs the settings.h file, much like strgen does for language strings.
Thus, changes in settings.h should be moved to the ini files. settingsgen will pick them up and generate a modified settings.h file.

That patch against r22250 has changes to src/table/settings.h which was removed in r22188.

Check the wiki, searching for '32bpp installation' iirc

Graphics probably look much the same under mac os as any other os ;)
I'm afraid unless openttdcoop starts supporting mac binaries (i'm presuming it doesn't, i haven't had the chance to check) you'll bave to compile it yourself. You can find guides on the openttd wiki

Is there any progress with the 32BPP trains? Because i believe it's over a year ago now that a new train was finished.
