I've not yet. There's more than the windsock to the wind direction: http://dev.openttdcoop.org/issues/2116 - but I wonder where the wind sock sprites are... hm.

Especially the vehicle smoke will be difficult...

If trees are going to be replaced, some tree types are missing. Two new ones, a test version of OpenGFX with these trees included is found in the posting above.

EDIT: added third in posting above ;-)

Temperate trees are now also completely reworked. They can be found in the upcoming nightly (tomorrow 18h CET) of OpenGFX

Pardon me for digging up this topic, but it should be more appropriate if we have our discussion here.

So here's another set of sprites for the vehicle status icons.

Very nice! I'm only having a bit of trouble with the red circle one. What does it mean? That cash is prohibited? Don't know how you could improve that though, but I like the other three. Best ones so far! :D

I lack a bit of game practice lately, but your screen does not look like opengfx, do you propose new icons for ttd base set or for opengfx, for ttd base set you rather start a new thread or use FlySpray (http://bugs.openttd.org)

Edit: oh, you already moved from somewhere else... ;-)

Yes I didn't know that until you told me, must be some old screenshots (Actually it should be from one of the savegames on the forums, just used as demonstrative purposes).
Anyway, it doesn't matter because I'm just showing the icons only.

Some more work on the deficit/loss icon, it's quite difficult to design a suitable one.

Better already, but still a bit iffy. I'm trying to think of something that shows no money (as that's what is the case). Difficult.

You could have some mini graphs to indicate it...

You know I was thinking exactly that after my previous post. But then got distracted...

The graphs look real good and mainly it is quite obvious what it is :) I have to admit the previous icons from 2006TTD were nice but rather confusing.

The river graphics look great but do they look too repetitive on long stretches?

Possibly yes. But surely not more repetitive than the current straight riverbanks which also know only one sprite. Possibly one could think of introducing some variation via random action2. But I'll only start thinking of that when I've dealt with the sloped river borders, too ;-)

The rivers look good, yes, but the large buildings of the food factory still are a bit too irregular. I had redone them, but nobody seems to have noticed in almost a month.
