But it runs not stable :? after a while its freeze randomly. It good to see somework work on it. A little request: can you fit the ingame windows to the resolution on the psp?

I believe theres a button you can use to move the screens around if they're over sized

Finally got a CFW PSP, but i am having the same problem as Carlos, a blank screen upon bootup. It reads from my memory stick for about 10 seconds then just sits there. No Audio or Video, i cannot access the Home menu either.

Specs:

PSP-1003 (UK Phat)
CFW 5.50 Gen-D3
Overclocked to 333MHZ

I can't confirm it but it appears its the CFW thats the problem.

5.50 Gen-D3 has reported compatability problems with a few programs, especially ones designed for firmware 1.50, because it has no 1.50 kernel support, unlike previous 5.02 firmwares. It does appear as though this is not a 1.50 application, because there are no error messages, usually booting a 1.50 app on a 5.50 PSP will result in failure to boot, but OTTD does boot.

I have tried 5.50 Gen-D3 and 5.50 Gen-B, both of them fail to load it. Anyone with a lower CFW care to try it? I would say 5.02 is the best bet to work with it, it's still fairly popular despite 5.50 being out for over a year.

OTTD PSP 0.5.3 from the official OTTD PSP site (http://openttd.pc-workshop.da.ru/) runs fine on 5.50 GEN-D3, but annoyingly wasn't able to test as i forgot i would need all the original TTD files as its pre-1.0.0.

OTTD PSP 0.7.2 also runs on my PSP.

Is there any chance of a signed version of this being released so it can be played without CFW?

probably not, to have it signed would mean it would probably have to go through sony and it would cost money. Knowing sony, they probably wont let soemthing like this to be played on a official FW psp

Tried to upload it using the forum uploader but didn't work so uploaded it to megaupload.

Enjoy :-)

Would be good to see some further development on this.

Also sorry if there are any of my save files or anything remaining. I think I got rid of them all though.

Please create a proper version first, make use of 'make bundle' and all relevant OpenTTD license information is included automatically. Don't include files you have no permission of distribution for like the TTD graphics files. Or I'll have to remove all your links to it.

Do you possibly care to boil it down to a proper patch or proper patches (currently it often looks like a quick hack)? I don't - but maybe you care enough to have OpenTTD compile for psp out-of-box.

It seems to me that you could need your library paths set differently so that you don't need to change all includes related to SDL, alegro, libtimidity etc.

one of the key elements of open source software is that you don't need to ask for permission to do anything. the license allows you to do anything with the software, as long as you meet the criteria stated in that license, which basically are a) you include the license file in the download, and b) you offer the complete source code, including all your modifications and build scripts (everything which is not part of the compiler itself. the compiler here is the signing program)

I know that, just wondered whether he minded or if he had his own plans to sign it. I don't want to take any of his credit.

Yay thanks!! :D

I've tested all these versions on my PSP FAT 5.50 Gen-D3, and unfortunately none of them work. As stated earlier the 0.5.3 version (from openttd.pc-workshop.da.ru) works perfectly. I've been playing that one for over 18 hours now.

The main difference is that when any of the new versions are started no black start screen with white letters is displayed. When I start the 0.5.3 version something like 'set CPU to 233 mhz' etc appears. Could it be a resolution thing?

Any ideas on this?

The 1.1.0 RC1 doesn't work on my PSP-1000 with CFW 5.50 GEN-D3. Stays on black screen for a while, then turns itself off.

EDIT: Appears PSP never turns off, been running about 7 minutes and its still on a black screen. No buttons work however. Not even the HOME button.

EDIT#2: CFW 6.39 ME-5 doesn't boot it either. Booting from IRSHELL returns an 800200D3 error, which means an illegal address, whatever that means.

The version of OTTD posted there, does exactly the same thing, except when the PSP logo fades, instead of just sitting there, doing nothing, it loads from the memory stick for a few seconds, and then sits there, doing nothing.

Both versions load from the memory stick whilst the PSP logo is showing.
