[OTTD] Rhine-Ruhr area
After my n+1 desperate desire for a rhine-ruhr area scenario, I decided to make one myself. The Germans did a great job of cramming as much infrastructure as possible in such a tight space, kudos to them
I tried to place the towns and industries as accurately as possible, I blame any mistakes on the fact that I made the entire scn by hand (with a little help of google maps ) so don't be too harsh on me
It's possible to both build a prospering industry network or a passenger network (I prefer the latter myself).
Size is 512x512. Any comments are welcome!
Cheers!

Very nice map, and good luck to all that play it.

For a hand built map, I think you did a very good job
I'm just a little sad, that it's only a 512x512 map. I think the Rhur area would fit better to a 1024x1024, or even a 2048x2048 map.
It could be cool if you could find a good height map of the area, and the fill it with cities, towns and industries

Definitely could do with a heightmap. Nothing against what you have done.. but there is only so much you can do by raising the land by yourself.

Looks quite nice, though it's a map low on height level contrast; I'd try to use the height levels to its full extend on such map. Contrary to my predecessor I'm quite happy that it is NOT a huge map, that keeps it usable on servers.
Maybe you could pimp the map a bit more by adding minor rivers and lakes to the map using the rivers feature (and not sea as for the major water ways)?

Nice map. But Hochdahl is definitly to small compared to Erkrath.
