For Purno
1. Actualy it was one of the first sprites. There are 2 very bad sprites on my PC.
The first in TT-Forums.
2. I will finish. There was something like bogies. I just don't know if it would be better to draw the phantographs on the cab car (Maybe it's easier. Since i dont know anything about coding.) or to draw it on a middle car (like in real life)
I just dont know would it be possible in TT. Theese EMU's have phantograph (motor car) like this:
( < means direction)
4-car set (minimum)
<CAB-<MOTOR-MOTOR>-CAB>
6-car set
<CAB-<MOTOR-MOTOR>-TRAILER-MOTOR>-CAB>
and so on...
As far as i know in Lithuania there are only 4 or 6 car trains
In Latvia the same but sometimes two 4-car set are coupled together to form an 8-car set.
In Russia its rangeing from 4-cars to 12-cars.
I think i will make both - Phantograph on cab car. And phantograph on motor car

Usually graphic sets try to code these things realistically. It's a bit more complicated, but considered worth the effort in general. If you still want to keep both options open, you could make all those sprites. You could always leave a copy of an plain roof inside the image, incase you ever need to remove / move the pantograph or other details on the roof (such as airco units, which are usually found on the roof too).

I once drew some.

You can use them, if you want :)

Heres a scetch of the ER9M phantograph. It is something between the old double and new single phantograph.

I think you should forget most of the details in pantographs, they're only a few pixels in TT sprites.

First of all I am sorry for my absence, it's just that I'm not so much into TT scene anymore. However I do intend to maintain my work seeing how damn popular this set has become among the players of OpenTTD.

railwayman, your sprites are good but the diagonal stripe is barely distinguishable in diagonal views. Can you do something about that?

Also, any chance of posting your sprites in .png format please? I'm sure that way a lot more people would be able to readily give you comments on your work :)

Indeed.

BTW I'm still looking for a coder to do proper coding for this set as it's done in a crude way now.
