Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
Giovanne, the World Airliners Set is designed to represent world airliners (obviously) that have flown in commercial service or are still flying. This does not encompass cancelled prototype aircraft such as the L-2000, which has no relevance to this set.
Perhaps this should have been made clear earlier, but the point still stands.
Also if you wish to be credited as a contributor to this set, I suggest you make a contribution, it is no good half finishing a plane and then moving on repeatedly, finishing the Condor A320 would be a step in the right direction .
On a side note, regardless of its relevance, why is the L-2000 sprite in JPG format?

Hello Faddypainter,
(...firstly sorry for my bad english...)
thank you for your nice words about the CIB A320. I will continue painting of the AB A320 soon, so I expact to finish it this night. According to your statement about relevance A/C, I would like to add the question about A/C like Chessna, Piper, DH6-Beaver and others. Are they okay for including them into the set?
Thanks and have a nice evening.
Regards.

Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
Well i think we can add some small planes in, in time, sounds like a good idea, because no one the tt-forums have them, but i doubt it will be anytime soon. Maybe after the Alpha release. And btw your plane is great, when its done add it to the WAS Forum
Also Giovanne, we are not making the L-2000, and i am not finding it a coincidence that you and jubalulu (Megatron) both wanted to make the L-2000 and STTs, so if you are him we don't want your help.

You just did the same mistake as I did on the SAS
Those two won't look very good next to each other, colours are different.

Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
Ah...I see.
Now I know, why I have choosen this bright yellow. I've got an original postcard of this aircraft here. Due to influence of sunlight, now after 25 years, it is much brighter than it should be. So I just used the "bright" yellow as can be seen on the card without checking the card well. In comparison with my poster of the D-ABTH 747-200 really next to the postcard, the difference grade of yellow of the tailfin is obvious. I will correct it soon. Thanks for your support!

Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
Just finished all of the 5 A330-300 repaints we need for the Alpha. Thought I'd show the best two here.
The other three are Cathay Pacific, SAS and Lufthansa.

The colors are beautiful! So the rest of the planes.
Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
I must agree, looking forward to this set , will the planes be refitable to the liveries or will it be random or both or available as separate vehicles.buckethead wrote:The colors are beautiful! So the rest of the planes.

Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
Refittable at your own will, just there is a slight error regarding the fact that when a vehicle gets replaced the livery gets reset back to the greyscale version, the issue is in the OpenTTD bug list, but when they get round to fixing it no one knows.lawton27 wrote:I must agree, looking forward to this set , will the planes be refitable to the liveries or will it be random or both or available as separate vehicles.buckethead wrote:The colors are beautiful! Tupolev Tu-204-100 KMV
This is my next A/C for the WAS. I proudly present the first Tupolev Tu-204, based on the B752 model.

Re: [WIP] The World Airliners Set - Alpha (When Its Done)
Just in answer to the poll, I think one giant GRF is definately the way to go (although seperate GRFs might be an idea for the patch, due to sprite constraints). I'm fairly casual in my use of planes and, while I think this set should persuade me to use planes more, I still don't want to be fiddling around adding dozens of different grfs.
