Re: Jake's Swiss Screenshots [REVAMPED]
I have just undergone a major revamp of the network, replacing all vehicles and adding a new train set to run simutaeneously with the Swiss Set. Screenies to follow

After much local critisism, Brig-Glis station has been refurbished, as has the appearance of the Glacer Express. Here, we see Brig in full flow, with a departing SBB train bound for Geneva, a BLS train unloading passengers from Bern, and a Glacier Express train beginning its climb up the Goms valley towards Oberwald.

Thanks.massive improvement, looks way better
1. Here, we see the Italian resort of Tirano, a busy station receiving both FS Italian trains from Milano and the Bernina Line trains from St. Moritz. Here, we see a summer shot of the town, with an arriving Bernina line train about to meet the outward bound service to Milano.
2. Martigny is a pivotal station on the SBB network, with the mainline SBB trains meeting with a cross-border service towards Chamonix Mont Blanc. Also, PostBus services can be taken here to neighbouring resorts of Verbier and Fionnay.

Fashionable resorts of Davos and Klosters are in full winter flow, with efficient service from the RhB Davos Line.

But the railway crosses the road straight afterwards anyway

Re: Jake's Swiss Screenshots [REVAMPED]
A bit of a change now i think, time for a fictional story within my Swiss scenario. Today, it shall be a winter trip to the Italian ski resort of Breuil Cervinia, which is just the other side of the Matterhorn.
1. Our flight touches down in Milano airport.
2. We board a inter-city tram that will take us to the mainline train station.
3. We board our FS high-speed train, bound for Torino.

4. We reach our destination, Torino, and disembark our train, and wait for a bus to the nearby town of Chivasso.
5. Finally, our bus arrives.
6. Our bus arrives at Chivasso, where we must wait for a train to take us up the Aosta valley.

7. Our train finally arrives, and we can head for Chatillon.
8. We leave a train for the final time, and we must wait for the local PostBus that can be seen on the road above the station.
9. We reach our destination in Breuil Cervinia, just in time for the ski season!

Re: Jake's Swiss Screenshots [REVAMPED]
Jake,... you are an artist! The Porta Nuova station in torino needs a little bit more work (try with the Pacific central of the canadian station set, it s close to Porta Nuova), but the "artwork" it's incredible! Good Job! Keep impressing us more.

Re: Jake's Swiss Screenshots [REVAMPED]
Excuse the void of no screenshots, my last exam is tomorrow so after that they should be here aplenty. Three more just to tide you over...
1. A rather tranquil scene at Payerne, with the solitary SBB mainline train from Geneva stopping here on its way to Bern. In addition, a local coach company runs a service in the opposite direction.
2. The mountain village of Courmayeur, high in the Aosta valley. Although less illustrious than its partner Chamonix, this village is too overshadowed by Mont Blanc. In addition to the local train from Aosta, there is also a lot of traffic passing through here and onwards into the Mont Blanc tunnel.
3. A busier situation at Chur, where the SBB service terminates (although in real life it would continue north towards Zurich). While the mainline train speeds off towards Milano, the smaller RhB Arosa line train loads before departing high into the mountains towards Arosa. In the sidings adjaecent, special steam services wait for their Christmas specials, hauling 1st generation wagons up the mountain pastures.

Re: Jake's Swiss & Italian Screenshots [REVAMPED]
Very nice screens, but I am still annoyed by the brown tiles in your roads. Do you want me to change the brown tiles in your North American roads grf to temperate ones? It can easily be done by changing some sprites.

Yes, that would be heroic ! It also happens with the bloody narrow gauge rails too, although they're rarely used as theres no bloody catenaryDo you want me to change the brown tiles in your North American roads grf to temperate ones?
Re: Jake's Swiss & Italian Screenshots [REVAMPED]
Well, I'll make it ASAP. Can't promise how long it'll take.
