I think the airports will be way to big if the planes are the same scale as the other vehicles. But of course its realistic.

Maybe the refitted cargo planes can be without windows so it looks more realistic.

@Maquinista:thanks to have coded the flats.

i had a question about planes:what should be the size?
is it the original size multiplied by 4 or must we respect the real scale(12.5m for a tile)?
in this case planes will seem very huge.

The original sprites doesn't keep the same scale. I think that if We want planes with realistic scale, We would need huge airports.

if you model the planes realistic in blender, you can always adjust the scale to fit, first step would be accurate plane models (ive seen alot in this topic, but all were lost after original author disappeared and never returned to that beautifull work...

scale is fix-able if you upload the images, the coders can try fitting it to the original sprite sizes

oddly, there is a model that's still unclaimed.i thought at first sight that this building was the model made by dmh but it's not the same.
that's why i'm trying to make the row of flats.
it's a preview and then i will add more details and make the construction phases.
all the advices will be welcome.

I like it a lot! Totally different looks than what has been created so far.
But please, don't add solar panels, it just doesn't fit imho.

And rooftop solar panels are often laid flat on the roof not on some pole. This way the surface is way too small to be worth the effort.

Some quads still seem to be untextured, just coloured, which makes the buildings look very unnatural.

your building is in a good way but i've noted some bugs you should fix.i'm not a blender artist but i wanted to give my opinion as a player.
the floors of the second phase are larger than the walls in the third one.i think that the walls are still too flat (you added relief vertically but it needs horizontally too).i made modifications(just to see how walls could be with more relief)
the base of the windows doesn't fit with the models on th third one and doesn't have the same size.
oh.i forget, the original model is a cube and have twice three windows on the front wall.
otherwise,don't despair and go on.

A lift? As someone wrote before, the original 8bpp building had an elevator..

About the office building:
- As someone said before. The crane should be in the lift shaft.
- The columns in the first construction stage should have a bit of a rough top, with reinforcing steel sticking out of the top.
- The windows (completed stage) on the right face of the building don't seem to be spread evenly. I see that the left-most 'column' of windows is a bit smaller. That's fine. But the others just aren't aligned equal horizontally, compared to the vertical protrusions.

The construction crane seems to be a bit odd:
- I guess you'll finish the cabin
- The arm should be longer so it can reach quite a bit over the farthest side. Then I think the amount of counterweights makes more sense too.

Just my few cents.

Looks great.
Though the grass seems a bit dull with just the plain color. I definitely liked the old better (just add the plants to that).
Still think it's a real shame to add those solar panels. But well, it's your work.

The best way is render first the building, and later, model the construction stages from the model of the building.

Here we go guys, my 32bpp replacement for the 1x1 Flats #3 graphic.

It seems were kind of running out of objects to put of the roofs of the buildings, does anyone have any ideas of things that haven't been done yet?

Comments and criticisms welcome as always.

the food stand looks kinda oversized and or out of place, id remove/change that...

furthermore try adding some more reflectiveness to the windows and/or depth to these big flat areas because the original sprite had windows, you have glass walls, try break it up a tiny bit

but overall, keep it up:)
