I rarely comment on screenshots, although there are lots of talented "photographers" out there, but your "Trainspotter's Paradise" clearly caught my attention. This is so very unique for a game like TTD and such a great idea in the way of realism, that I simply had to congratulate you for this idea. The "Special" is just the icing of the cake!

8o  Thank you very much, Paul. Yes, now it's more easy to reach the Trainspotter's Paradise by train, railfans don't need anymore to walk for miles in the woods!

Grand Hill Airport is very busy at all times. Plans to expand exist for some time now, but due to the fact that the only available land where a bigger airport could be built is in between Grand Hill and Walabe Bay, both city councils have their say in it. And Walabe Bay is not in big favour of more noice. (Shot 1)

In order for Walabe to grow a bit, so that allowed noice levels would raise accordingly, our management board has become big spenders, Milliions have been made available to build the "Walabe Islands", a project which aims at making prime locations available for housing. (Shot 2)

Here is what happens to your operating profit when you switch on Cargodestinations in a Network which is not built for it.

James wanted to see some shots from my game for which I posted the network map.
Well, here we go.

Shot 1, the southern end of the line is Peseux with it's rather messy station, wrapped around the local reffineries.

Shot 2 shows Dübendorf. The left most platforms were the first to be built, but nowadays is used only for local services and all freightservices roll trough that part. the middle three platforms are used by the Intercity services from/to Peseux and the right most three platforms are for the high speed ICE services from/to Köniz.

Shot 3 shows the recently extended station of Lancy. Nothing special here, except that it is very busy as all locals from the North end here as well as all the locals from Peseux.

Next is Liestal, which is quickly becoming the network hub. The city itself is growing quickly and the station is at absolute capacity. Several bypasses have been built to get at least the freight trains out of the mess, but still, the situation is all but good and during rush hours, queues are long not only for the trams.

Volketswil is another major junction station, where lines to Wohlen and Delemont branch off. Also several industries in the area add to the network congestion.

And finaly, we have Brig-Glis which also has been extended several times, also to make space for the 8 tiles long ICE services.

Quite formidable network. I never managed to make something like this earn money with cargodest :)

I only started to make money in recent years (2000 plus), before that, I was always broke, sometimes I couldn't even afford a replacement loco, and for the first ICE train, I had to go back to the bank for a loan. Cargodest is really tough.

A recent excursion to Bremerhaven, a rather major port at the north coast of Germany has brought me to the idea to rebuild this harbour in TTD.

The port is split into several terminals, two of them are Eurogate where cars and other rolling material is loaded plus some container gates and further north is the NTB terminal, which is a container terminal only.
IRL, the port is host to the Maersk E-class ships, which are currently the largest container vessels in the world, holding up to 13.500 TEUs. Those are normally turned around at the NTB terminal with up to 6 gantry cranes at the same time.

At the Eurogate terminals most cars from Germany are exported world wide and most imports run trough this terminal as well. It can host up to 120.000 cars. When you drive trought the whole terminal, you can see every possible brand and model, it is really increadible.

The below is not at all to scale and not accurate, either, but it kind of shows the concept of the whole port.

I hope you like the shot.
