Problem with patching...
Hello there!
Ive been reading in thise forums for a while now and i just started to try adding patches that arent in the trunk, for the first time.
Im using tortoiseSVN to patch up the stuff... first time i tryed i used the Traffic light patch, worked fine but i lost the patched stuff due reinstalling the computer. when i after that tryed to apply patch ive noticed that TortoiseSVN crashes when i apply allmost all patches, what am i doing wrong?
At the moment ive tryed to patch "Traffic lights", "Infrastructure Sharing", "cargodest" but so far only "More conditonal orders" doesn't crash TortoiseSVN.
Thanks for answers that might lead to a solution

One or more of:
1) Not posting links to the patches
2) Not reporting to which revision you are attempting to apply the patch
3) Complaining here instead of in the appropriate place for TSVN support
4) Complaining here instead of in the appropriate place for support for the patches
5) Not reporting which version of TSVN you are using.

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Sorry about not link to the patches, since like no one worked i thought it must been something i did with the the options of the program...DaleStan wrote:One or more of:

1) The links to all the patches i tyred: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=37455 ( r13031) http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=38317 (r14173)
2) I tryed to apply the patches to the latest stable: 0.6.2 OTTD.
3, 4) I didnt complain i just nicely asked for help where i the competence of both the code, program where best... here.
5) I use TortoiseSVN-1.5.3.13783.
The most strange thing with all this is that the apply of patch worked the first time but no other try

Re: Problem with patching...
That won't work, try to apply the patches to the revision they were created for.El'Muppo wrote: 2) I tryed to apply the patches to the latest stable: 0.6.2 OTTD.
Re: Problem with patching...

I don't like when someone edit my post to make it look bad. "WITH!!!!! " was changed from with.El'Muppo wrote:Sorry about not link to the patches, since like no one worked i thought it must been something wrong WITH!!!!! the options of the program...
If there are no real reason to change it dont do it.
Shame such a nice forum got atleast one immature moderator.

Re: Problem with patching...
No, it wasn't. Go edit your post and take a look at what you *really* typed. Then don't use that word again. For historical reasons, it is not allowed on this board.El'Muppo wrote:"WITH!!!!! " was changed from with.

Just curious what in history made the ban of that word

Re: Problem with patching...
Maybe becuase its one of those key words u need to express english in a good way

Re: Problem with patching...
I doubt that very much. Not many English words substitute for the word with.

Re: Problem with patching...
Its name was Zetor, and it was completely convinced that "with" was spelled W-H-I-T.El'Muppo wrote:Just curious what in history made the ban of that word
See above.thanet-bomber wrote:I want to know what the word even was..
