Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
hey, that's supposed to be our line in the script
your original work was so inspiring that without it, I doubt that this set would have ever started.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
Hi norfolksouthern37, thanks for posting here.
I’m pleased you approve of what we’re doing.
Sorry that you’re name was left off of the credits in previous versions of Industrial Stations Renewal.
As you can see though, that is being rectified. I have already added your name to the credits in the GRF (almost ready for the next release).
I’d like to echo Sanchimaru’s comments about your original work being our inspiration. Your industrial stations have always been the one GRF that is always used in my games.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
Hey, good to see you back, norfolksouthern37! How have you been? Hope we can see more of you.
Yes, the industrial station set is one of the most useful GRF files, and just like mart3p says, it's in all of my games. I couldn't play without it. The only other sets that I always have are George's Long Vehicles and the Planeset; but these days, the Aviator set is more popular. And since I build mostly trains, the Industrial Stations get much the most use.
The current tracking table is here:
http://as-st.com/ttd/indstatstech/index.html
I've made another round of changes, and have tried to preserve all proper credit, but if I'm missing anything, please let me know. I don't want to forget anybody, credit is the only thing we can give in return for all the effort that goes into these!

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
Hello!
Great update, Industrial Stations Renewal really is the most versatile stations set. Every cargo game needs it.
I have a suggestion for the tiles with cargo (containers, barrel etc.) waiting on them:
Currently they all change the look at the same amount of waiting cargo at the station, causing some kind of "flickering" at bigger stations.
If the different tiles would change at different amounts of waiting cargo, this effect could be reduced. So i suggest different threshold values for barrels, containers, planks etc and for tiles with rails resp. without rails if that is possible. Tiles with rails should fill up before tiles without rails to simulate buffer storage for waiting goods.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
Another way would be to do it sequentially, kind of like when you have the flag set to load your freightcars from front to rear. That makes it look a little more orderly. You could also space it out by "ticks" like the freightcars are (i.e. they can only unload or load at a certain rate per "tick") which would reduce or eliminate the flickering.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
>Kolbar: many changes have been made to the cargo tiles and platforms for the next version. I have already changed them as you suggest, so track tiles fill up before non-track tiles. The threshold values have also been adjusted. Please try the next version, due for release very soon
, and see if the changes have resolved the matter. If not, please feel free to raise the issue again after you have tried v0.6.0.
>krtaylor: I don’t think what your asking for is possible. Station tiles aren’t given individual load amounts like train wagons are. The amount of cargo waiting of each type, applies to the whole station. The GRF just sets the threshold levels, for any one type of station tile there can only be one threshold value for each level change.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
I'm using the grf Sanchimaru posted and I get the following results. This is using the windows version with no other grfs active except large depots and the ttd base graphics... What's going on?

Are you sure you are using the Windows version of the Grf?
It looks like the same result I got when I accidentally downloaded the DOS version instead of the Windows version.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
Actually Danmack's screenshot was awesome, like a picture of a station in a post-apocaliptic setting, with all the soil burned and buildings cut in half without some walls. Special mention to the hole in the wall of the station building where the clock should be, that must be the essence of poetry.
Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.5.0 available!)
Never thought about it that way..... Hmmmmm lol

Industrial Stations Renewal v0.6.0
I am pleased to present; Industrial Stations Renewal v0.6.0.
New for v0.6.0:
The usual warnings apply about using this update with existing savegames (see the first post). The station IDs have changed again.
I have included a provisional readme file in the zip. This is a work in progress, but does contain some useful information.
And a special thank you to wallyweb, for his testing and suggestions. And hopefully some more screenshots...
Enjoy.

Is this a bug I see
Steel Mill Station, no train inside... The blue 'flag' is a bug, right?
Using latest OTTD nightly (r12392).

Yes, that's a bug.Trond wrote:Is this a bug I see![]()

I can't reproduce it though, does it appear all the time? If not, in what circumstances does it occur?
Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.6.0 available!)
I havent buildt that many steel stations yet, only two, but when placed in the direction seen on the screenshot it becomes visible. When moving left/right when looking at the station it will appear/disappear. I do have the old industrial station v0.98 installed, maybe that can make this happen? I cannot put my finger on anything that would cause this bug to appear... I will ofcourse let you know if I figure out anything...
Besides that, I LOVE these stations... Just hope there will be no more ID-swapping in the future
