I don't think there was, although "Yokes" tower or similar was about, too...

Thier were two games made by Yoot Satito
Sim Tower came first
Yoot tower came second.

No Yoot made the games.Maxis published Sim Tower in the U.S
Yoot tower was published by Sega.

If any one wants to try to make an Open Sim or Yoot Tower and you are good at cloneing either game pm me,I have some Ideas.

Oh, I see. They did similar with Artdink's A-train. Maxis was the US publisher for that, too.

I am kind of surprised this came up because a day or two ago I was wondering if there was an open source clone of Sim Tower too. If anyone wants to make one, kudos to you because I couldn't find anything on Google. (Oh, and I might be able to help a little on it if anyone wants to.)

I think Sim Tower is abandonware and is freely available on the internet.

They also have the internet on computers now...

Yoot tower can be found on HOTU (the-underdogs.info) I think. But make sure your antivirus is up to date, their 'advertising partners' can be real malicious last time I was there. Someone told me it's been cleaned up a bit though.

A friend of mine is actually writing a clone of simtower, but it's far from functional. He has no website or anything for it at the moment, but I get the feeling it's just a little hobby project rather than a serious effort.

If anyone wants to make a Simtower clone I could make a website for it (it would have to be on a free host though). Might I also suggest OpenTower as the name? (It also could be hosted on SourceForge)

Good idea Bob this project needs a worthy home base.
But let's start small like trying to mod Sim and Yoot tower  .

The problem with mods are that we have to figure out how they made sim tower instead of starting from scratch with our own techniques. Also I think it might be easier to start from scratch because we could make a modular system for adding objects like stores, etc.
It might take longer to get a working alpha when you start from scratch but at least you can do more from then on! :D

Making SimPatch or OpenSim? :D.. You'll get the difference yourself when you look at the progress of OpenTTD and TTDPatch :P
(don't mean to start another conversation about it :P)
PS: And I stopped the propaganda to support Dave Worley since he got a nice new red hat now.[/color]
I know I have a BBCode error in my signature but I really cba to fix it.

Eh, I might need to restart the websites on a different host, this one seems to be having too many problems. :(
