There is a clarity difference in what can be made out from the models, e.g the colours, the front end of the loco and the handrail along the side.

But I do have good eyesight 8)

The primary difference is that his models are much much shorter than mine and tend to clip less... Exactly why I don't plan to do that many six-motor units... And even if this set gets out it will definitely be my last, because Plastikman's already got such a strong presence in the American department of Locomotion! LOL...

do you resize your models before converting them?, if you don't resize msts models, they are a little too long for lomo

Plastikman: Again you compare with JPGed one. Compare with proper sprites. They are better even though not in the quality of your one.
They aren't HQ but not LQ either. There are examples of LQ sprites: have a check at recent posts in TTD section to understand what really is LQ.

please athanasios, as said, it's got nothing to do with JPGs. shut up.

Plastikman was correct. there's a way to receive a much higher quality than your releases are so far, and apparently you haven't realized that or even looked into it at all. just watch Plastiman's, Strongbow's, Illegal_Alien's or Seelenenquell's work and you'll notice the difference.

about that NSset incident, amongst other: quite indeed so. that's been a black page in the history of this forum.

if you, at any point, even thought i'd download this junk you're even dumber than i thought.

reminds me of an old saying: "the more clogged the toilet gets, the less people see how s*** it is".

Lobster, if u dont have anything good to say, then shutup.
If u didnt catch it, the subject of the topic is "my FIRST lomo releases", meaning he isnt as experiences as IA, seleenquell, and plastikman. (and anyone else i may have forgotten)

I personally think these are awesome mods, cant wait to use then in game :P

so stating that it's low quality and thus not matched up to today's graphic standards isn't constructive criticism? in that very, please enlighten me what is, oh lost prophet of the various types of criticism known to mankind.

it's a funny thing though. reading things like "Personally I can't see anything wrong quality wise" makes me wonder if anyone actually looks at anything at all. the differences between the ugly direct conversions like these and the finer crafted ones that actually have some effort put in are as blatantly obvious as OJ being guilty. yet there is frowned upon if someone pointing out quality differences immediately. very strange.

i'd personally vote for a 'quality standard' guideline, to prevent stuff like this from getting released.

Keep it clean lads. Or Andel will be released on the lot of you. Then you'll rue the day tensions ever got high in this thread!

So be nice. If you don't agree with what someone else says, ignore it. Otherwise a hole is dug from which nobody can leave without a big ole locking.

Thanks everyone for your comments...

Oh, and Lobster? Instead of wasting space by posting how stupid I am (because I'd probably already know if I was), how about a useful post telling me how to improve? I'm not gonna argue with you, I'm just tossing out a suggestion... I didn't even read about half of your comments; got bored after the first couple... You're the expert apparently, so you tell me what I should do...

wasting space, me? good one.

i won't be "telling you what to do" if that takes a good 2 minutes of research, like in this very case. then again, i see i wasn't wrong on a certain point, so it might prove to be a bit harder for you.

have a nice time, anyway. i'd best be off here, before you get a heart attack of trying to react uninterested.

*sigh* It's REALY bad when I have to be the voice of reason on any forum so I'm making this fast,
Lobster:A new content maker should not be critisized beacuse his first creations lack the quality of those of the members who have done this for years. When plastic first started making content I bet you they were worse than this (mine would be worse than that), so dont jump on someones case because there new.
MC: The only thing I have to realy say is your digging yourself into a fairly deap hole here, if someones post is a slam aginst you or offends you ignore it or just laugh about it, it's the best way to get back at a post like that, enjoy yourself anyways.
/me leaves mini-mod mode
now who wants some PIE?

lol my first sets are pretty sad by todays standards, but at the time they were standard.

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=398981#p398981 start there and look at the rest of the first page... altho there was only LQ renders back then, there was a lot of repainting going on. we did what we could to improve them. lots of trial and error, new techniques.. literally 100's of hours spent working on new ideas and pushing the lomo limits, both graphicly and pushing the code. we broke a lot of ground learning as we went so can we have a much better product.

anyways im a bit toasted ... and toast you guys.... ~clink~

ps. i cant use my old stuff at all.... i run into once in a while in my old folders... i''ll stop and rerender it if i want to use it that bad.
