Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (test version available!)
I have updated the website. However, the newest version of the modern gantry cranes is a standalone file, whereas previously there was a combined file with both the cranes, and some warehouses. So I kept both up there. I can make changes as needed, just clarify them.

> krtaylor: it's fine, they are at the moment working files, but they are fully usable to be coded. I'm rearranging a lot of the elements, and creating new ones, so maybe we'll need to split the sprite sheets. Please, keep updating them and when we have a more organized version, I'll tell you so that we can clean up space. Thanks!

I'm not downloading this baby until you have a final version, Sanchi. I don't want to spoil the surprise!

I thought that but then I thought it was best to get 'beta testing' it before release. A few people have found small things that need tweaking so giving in to the temptation has its plus side....Dave Worley wrote:I'm not downloading this baby until you have a final version, Sanchi. With a great amount of respect mods, I think this is a little far. I fully understand and appreciate the forum rules, however, I also think that if ISA wrote "Wow Sanchimaru that is a really nice piece of work that you have done there." it would make no difference despite being 15 words in length. All Im suggesting is concious moderating of these things. I think it was an appropriately placed appreciation of Sanchimaru's awesome work.A moderator wrote:Please don't make one word posts. Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (test version available!)
I'm sorry, all I've managed to do recently is to add the new buffers (low platform, and double). I'm going on holiday to San Francisco tomorrow for a week as well, so I'm not going to be able to add any of the other new sprites for a little longer either. Sorry about that!
Here's the latest release anyway, which also fixes a few magic colours that shouldn't have been.

Indeed, this is our hobby just enjoy your holidays, actually getting a little bit away from it usually gives you renewed motivation to work.
Also, I'm currently re-arranging a lot of sprites, so you can leave it a bit until they are done.

Cargo waiting at the station is still somewhere in the pipeline, I hope? That's a feature that made the harbour extremely useful, and I guess many people couldn't do without...

While I appreciate what you're trying to say, please god lets not start a trend where people post an image like that to show their opinion.m3henry wrote:<image>

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (test version available!)
Good work! Looks pretty and fits perfectly into the TT world.
Some minor things:
- You added the sheds from brickfreight.grf (those with the black/yellow markers at the doors). I like the drive through feature with the automatic doors. Is it possible to draw doors always open if no PBS is used for the platform? I have PBS activated so doors will stay closed on non PBS stations.
- There are small glitches with overhead wires (sheds, cranes). Wires seem to be drawn over the sprites. I am using the dutch catenaries, could this be a reason?
Keep on going, very nice work. I think I can say that in the name of all TTDP players: We are glad to have people like you providing us with those gifts!

> MJS: I'm not sure what you exactly mean, but: yes, there are now even more sprites for waiting cargo: wood, containers (goods) and livestock pile in the same platforms where the train is. Then, minerals, oil and some others too pile in non-track tiles.
> mtwist: We have to see first if we have space enough in the menu for them. If so, we can add the always open version too

singing 'I can't wait, for this set to be released!' end singing
Well, i'm contradicting myself here, but i'm going to have to wait too (primarily because my laptop's a stubborn b*tch and hates anything big and memory consuming), plus if i get the set now my family, TTD project and other work would have to go on hold because of me being totally hooked to TTD, which has happened once before!

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (test version available!)
I must say, excellent work. I can't wait for the final! The stations look very nice, a lot better than the old industry set which had clipping problems with trains.
Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (test version available!)
Yes old one is clipping but some stations were better in old industrial stations! I liked old coal mine station and coal unloading station more! No offense. New ones are nice too but they seems to clean for me!Muse wrote:I must say, excellent work. I can't wait for the final! I agree on the coal unloading station, that one was better decorated in the old set.ISA wrote:Yes old one is clipping but some stations were better in old industrial stations! Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (test version available!)
Why not put them both in one set? So everyone can decide for them selfs which one they like?

Good idea, but without the clipping problems if that's possible.
