Running TTDX ub=nder win xp and the patch, I recently went back to a game I started a LONG time ago. No when I create a new train ot modify an old one the trains do 1 of 2 things..

1. They leave 90% of there consist behind

2. They don't even leave the depot

I have the mammoth train switch and the electrified switch turn on (and the trains are electrified.

Also how do you get TTDX out of windowed mode?

Thanks

Run TTconfig.EXE.

For the rest, we'll need a savegame or at least screenshots to be able to tell you what's going on. What version of TTDPatch are you using?

My current save game AND graphic files plus the current patch config are in the archive Game.rar, and should also be attached.

As to the version of ttpatch, see below..

//ttdxcversion=2.8.7
//ttdpversion=TTDPatch 2.0.1 alpha 61 (Windows)
//winversion=Windows XP (version 5.1 build 2600) Service Pack 2

Yes it's an old version, but I want to get everything running they way they should be running before I try messing with the latest version.

Thanks

You do realize that you have to do something slightly more than just "run" it, right?
It might also help to use a common screen resolution; TTDPatch can't run full-screen if your hardware doesn't support the requested resolution.

NAK. Post PNG. JPG is for photographs. Not screenshots of 8-bit graphics.

Upgrade. There was a bug to this effect a while back. If you use the nightlies, you can clone the offending train before selling it.

I can "support" upto 1280x1024. and yes I told TTconfig to goto a 1024x768 not knowing if TTDX can run in 1280.

I presume this bug only affects win xp?? as I never had these problems under 98/ME.

You did not tell TTconfig.EXE to "goto a 1024x768". No such option exists in that program.

That's a pcx, not a png.

Your right, I told the patch to goto 1024, I told the TTconfig to use mode 5.

1) TTDPatch can run in any resolution your hardware will support, from 640x480 to 2048x2048. If you can use a larger resolution, I suspect that limit can be raised with minimal difficulty.
2) You definitely did not tell anything, much less TTConfig.exe, to "goto a 1024x768". 1024, yes. 768, no.
3) Please stop putting your replies in the middle of
blocks. Add
/
tags, and put your reply between them.

Like I stated above, PikkaBird was correct in stating that I didn't tell TTconfig to use 1024, I told TTconfig to use mode 5 I told the PATCH to use 1024x768, which I have now modified to 1280x1024.

No, you did not. "768" appears exactly nowhere in the config you posted. I've now checked it at least twice.

So I made a recurring typo. it reads (IN THE PATCH) 760 on one line and 1024 the next line.

It doesn't help when it should be '768' NOT '760'.

That was no recurring typo. The problem appeared exactly once, and it wasn't at typo at all, since TTDXC doesn't let you type anything.
Hence:

No, you did not.

I rarely go on blathering that long when I don't actually have a clue about the subject of my blathering.

It wouldn't hurt to cut to the chase a little more often, though. ;)
