I suppose that just proves to me that all you 19 year olds arguing over who owns which sprite is completely pointless...

Anyhow, I need to ask a favour of the people who drew the bus stop sprites... I have no idea who or when, but that's why I'm asking generally.

I'd like to give them a bus shelter I think, rather than just the lamp-post thing. Is this possible?

I suppose this is actually a thread asking for who drew the bus stop sprites, so I can PM them. At first, like the rest of my stuff, this'll be PURELY for my own use, and the modified sprites will only be shown on here at such a time that is convenient for the original author if they wish.

Thanks guys,
Dave

Oh.. as a small OT P.S.
Psychology AS Unit 1, got a B - over the moon. Law AS Unit 2569 (Legal Personnel)... well... my favourite subject and I got a D. Absolutely gutted.

(Oh and did you spot the small irony/hypocrisy at the opening of the post? )

I believe the bus stops were a quick mock up by Oskar to make them different from the rest of TTD, without making them too specific.

The tram stops with shelters were done by Pikkabird, and can be found in the tram track grf :)).

Hope that helps you with your search!

Right... Topic-digging. But worth it. Thanks to the kind comments I've received of late, I've decided to give this another go now all my coursework is out the way.

Right-O back to it. I'm working very hard on curves.

I have a shading question. And since there's no real answers to this that I can find...

I'm using two shades of colour for the hedges on the rural roads, as you can see.

But they are, in the pallette, right next to each other.

So, if I'm doing a curved hedge, to go with the road, do I do a "checkerboard" effect to make the colours shade more correctly?

It's what I've tried so far... I just wonder if there's any better idea out there.

Stay tuned, more nice sprites on the way soon!

Dave it's not topic digging if it's your own topic, and you're working more on the project. And as I like this project, all the better :)).

I'm afriad I can't give you a precise answer, but I would certainly look at going one colour darker as well, so as to help differentiate the curve better. I usually draw things with 4-5 shades of colour, to get the transitions correct.

Dude the AS Level Exam period has only just begun.

I got on to study leave on Friday, had an exam Monday.

I promise you, and every other interested person :D, that I'll have a look though. I need something to do.

Something tells me revision is not it.

My exam timetable:

Monday 15th May 2006
Modern History (AS-Level) - Unit 3 - Life in Stalin's Russia 1928-41 - 60 minutes

Monday 22nd May 2006
General Studies (GCSE) - Paper 1H - 120 minutes

Thursday 25th May 2006
Psychology (AS-Level) - Unit 2 - Physiological, Psychodynamic and Learning Approaches - 90 minutes

Then... the killer day:

Wednesday 7th June 2006
AM - Communication Studies (AS-Level)
Unit 2 - Intrapersonal Communication - 90 minutes
Unit 3 - Non-Verbal Communication - 90 minutes

PM - Modern History (AS-Level)
Unit 1 - Russia in Revolution 1905-1917 - 90 minutes
Unit 2 - Liberal England - 1900-1916 - 60 minutes

Evening - General Studies (GCSE) - Paper 2H - 60 minutes

Monday 12th June 2006
Law (AS-Level)
Module 2568 - Machinery of Justice - 60 minutes
Module 2569 - Legal Personnel - 60 minutes
Module 2570 - Sources of Law - 60 minutes

Now, bear in mind that by law I'm not allowed to sit more than three hours in an examination room without a break. And that technically I shouldn't do more than 6 hours of exams in a day. I had to sign a special form to say I'd do the General Studies on the evening of the 7th, otherwise I'd've had to stay at Enzo's house - Not fun.

So yeah - Between all those, revising, Bon Jovi and a life - I'll do some :D

As promised... an update :D.

Not very much mind.

As Weirdy said, it's strange to have paint overlaying the Rails, so I've changed it slightly. Hope it's up to standard :P

Sorry to be negitive but I'ls hard too see the rails, also the 'box' looks wrong, it's off centre and too large.
Good luck with fixing it. :)

Indeed - It is rather difficult on the eyes. And Lakie, I will indeed have a go at making the rails even more prominent. Thanks for the comments all.

Here's a complete set of sprites to be edited for this.

As you can see... Sprite renumbering for my own purposes is in progress.

There are a few changes still to be made... The rural slopes, the level crossings...

Oh... And pixel randomisation :D

Made a couple of updates, however.

Dave, I hate to be a nag, as I know I'm only a newb on these forums but 4 way intersections supposed to have the yellow cross hashings in the middle :P

(or is that dependent on your counties highway department - I don't know, I can't drive :P

Looking very very nice though :)

OOOPPS!!!!! I just noticed those are the level crossings *feels like an idiot*

Like I said before, the crossing should have the yellow bit in the middle of it... (central).
Also a lot of those hedges look like they need some 'texture' same with the holes in the road. :)

Agreed.

Psyvhotic Baboon - This is NOT always the case with intersections in Britain. I can think of several where this is not the case.

However... I have some ideas...
