where does these money come from?
Hello, can anyone explain me where does AI get money from (see image) when:
- there is not Iron Ore accepted
- there is no service accepting Iron Ore
There was a Steel Factory when the track was built, but it disappeared (probably it was closed)
Tested in 0.4.8 and r6616, this happens in both
(couldn't upload savegame - 'Tried to uplad empty file' - it is 6MB long...)
Thanks!
edit: changed screenshot - lower resolution, English language

Does the money show up in the AI's balance sheet?
If not, don't worry about it.
And in the future, it's helpful to change to English language before taking screenshots.

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Thank you, DaleStan!
The money doesn't show in computer's budget.
But anyway, the computer thinks the train has income, so he doesn't sell it - although it looses in reality. (I use 'original' AI)
Should I post this as a bug, or the old AI is not in development anymore?
(well, there are many other problems with AI ... so I don't suppose I should file this one)
The screenshot is changed now.
Have a nice evening

AFAIK, unloading to a station that doesn't accept that cargo now automaticly initiates cargo traqnsfer (which i don't think it should). the AI always uses load and unload orders. in this case, it looks like the steel mill has packed up and gone, and the AI hasn't noticed since it thinks the train is still making money.
JPG SUX!!! USE PNG!!!
There are times when JPG is useful, TTD screenshots is not one of them. Please use PNG instead.

Hmmm...
"Transfert". This mean your train just unload it's Iron here. And the amount of money it shows you is the money it would get when a second train will send this iron to a steel mill.
It's an old wished feature of TTDPatch.
Remember the original TTD game :
You have 3 stations. A, B and C :
- A produces Iron.
- B produces and consumes nothing.
- C consumes Iron.
You have two trains :
- 1 sends Iron from A to B
- 2 sends Iron from B to C
In the original game, the train 2 got money for the whole delivrey : from A to C, and train 1 was always loosing money. After some years, you see that train 1 loose a lot of money, and you don't remember what it does. You see there is nothing at station B, you think a factory closed, and remove the train 1. This scenario was very common and quite boring (when you relized your error, you already lost a lot of money).
With this feature, your train 2 get the whole money (transportation A to C) MINUS the "transfert" money train 1 got. So the train 1 get like 50% of the money, and train 2 the same thing. By this way, both your trains are paid for the complete service, and you don't see trains loosing money as they are just usefull.
So, back to the problem : you won't earn this money until you effectively send the iron to a steel mill.
