Trams & Buildings

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Wile E. Coyote;

I feel that I am the one who should honor you for those lovely Trams. I read that someone
was having trouble using trams. I've not had any trouble at all. Thank you, Sir, for a job
well done.

Mr. GameR, I've collected grfs of office buildings from where all I don't know, but, as
Mr. Robotboy suggests, I guess they're 'exes', anyway they are very nice to have.
Now, if I could just get the hospitals, cathederals, etc. to appear as they used to, I'd be happy. :?

Mr. Nilo, once you learn how to place trains below ground, you'll find it to be quite
rewarding. I hardly use the Ro-ro system, I simply make an opening about every 9 tiles and
place signals. I'm very sucessfully running about 50 express passenger trains underground,
at the present time, using 2 lanes each way. A lot of work, but, a lot of challenging fun! :wink:

A couple of underground screenies.

Always,
Jim Powers

Thanx Jim,
But I'm not only worked on trams. Purno gave me pantographs for trams, Prebral provided me some data, and DaleStan, Pikkabird and Patchman helped me with coding. So credits are their too. :)
About graphic exes, there are on Andrex's Urban reneval site. Some are exes and some are grfs.

EDIT: I forgot to add all contributors. Sorry for Purno and Patchman. :oops:

Jim that looks awsome and thanks for explaining how you manage it. But how about mountains? Are they also undergrounds there? I think I will try to implement the subways next scenario I'll play as they look really funky.

Interesting junction on the surface line. I like it, much less uniform.

Yes, you have GrdToGrf program for it. Link is somewhere here:

Fun Stuff

Post by Jim Powers »

Hey TT-Forums Members;

I just wanted to show you a very busy RR station. OK?

I changed from Norton to Avast Antivirus program. Does anyone know why I'm getting
all that 'white' in my pics? I even changed to JPG, but, still 'white'. UGH! :cry:

Always,
Jim Powers

p.s. IT'S FIXED!

The two Br103's just to the south of the station look like they are going to smack into each other!

Still, very nice selection of shots as always Jim :).

I'd suggest png as the best file format for pictures, try that and see if that solves your problem.

Boundless Belgium is Stopped

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Ikkenick;

I'm sorry to inform you that I've been stopped on my latest scenario
"Boundless Belgium".
I downloaded the latest Beta [8] and after making the landscape, I went to install the
cities and towns. That's where I had to stopped. I couldn't clear buildings or streets
because I got the Red sign stating "The City Authorities Refuse to let you.........bla,bla,bla."
It was acting like a Saved Game instead of The Editor. I've put this in the 'problems'
topic and hopefully it will be resolved soon. I'm sure that this was mistaken change.
Anyway, here's a screenie of how far I've come, so far. :?

What's the water on the top? Isn't that where the netherlands is supposed to be? =P

Or are you just doing the country and make water where the other countrys are attached.

Antwerpen is North of Brussel, so the map is upside down (compared to maps we are used to). So the Netherlands are there, at the bottom of this map.

Belgium Maps Used

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. GaZeeBo;

and Mr. Aahz77, These are some of the maps I used. I'll post them.
In order to "lay" the map down to make a scenario, you must turn it at an angle to make a
correct proportion of it. In this case it's almost on it's side. :wink:

You are not a fan of the search function are you ?
Otherwise you would have found it already, for instance in the first post of this thread. :roll:

Boundless Belgium Attached

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forums Family;

I did it the hard way but, I did it.
I finished my latest scenario "Boundless Belgium"!

OK, I believe I've got it pretty correct. While the "Devs" are working to solve the
Editor problem, I am working to keep scenarios coming, as I am inspired.
I hope you all will enjoy this part of Europe and will play the heck out of
"Boundless Belgium".

I thank the many friends of mine and TT-Forums for their support in making this scenario
possible, especially Mr. Ikkenick, without his information on Belgium, I wouldn't have been
able to make it. :wink:

Here's "Boundless Belgium"!

Always,
Jim Powers
