Okay in the following 5 posts i will show you my current savegame, in which i'm getting bored now as there's not much to do anymore... It started some years ago in 2000 and used the cheats to skip date to 2040 to start using Maglev lev'4 Chimaera and skip the whole train/monorail part. Today, it's about 20th June 2090 (but probably 2999 :P). There are 402 trains, 94 aircraft and 5 ships. Some trains run more efficiently than others but profit ranges from 1.4 million $ / year to 26.8 million $ / year. These trains run @ 1280km/h (2x standard speed and 131k HorsePower :P). Bridges are capable of the same speed (1280km/h). The "Dinger 200" aircraft has been tuned to put over 1000 crates of goods in it's cargo haul or over 1800 passengers / 200 bags of mail at a speed of 3264 km/h. The "Dinger 1000" has been tuned at the same speed and 1000 passengers / 250 bags of mail. Ships have also been tuned but nothing spectaculair... I will first post some screenshots (about 17) and finally my savegame.

I'm making about 3.7/3.8 billion $ / year and have about 787 billion $ in cash. Inflation is on. I'm the only player in game. "Detailed performance rating" is all 100% 8)

The smallest city has about.... let's see... 0 civilians. The biggest 22000. I must say i'm not fund of larger passenger/mail networks. I prefer goods and raw materials :)

@Webfreakz: That is quite an achievement, but it does look a little overcrowded for my taste. But the level of skill required to fit all the trains onto the tracks and keep things moving must be considerable, so well done!

@PandoMojo: That's more the kind of thing I build, a nice scenic view indeed, very nice, but you don't really need that many signals, I place them every 4 or 5 tiles, not only does it look better, but it's cheaper too!

I noticed this after getting the trains running on the left line, but seeing as now the area is overrun with commercial anyways, I'm too lazy to go back and remove it :-).

Screenshots from my Canadian West game, currently at 208 trains. Network is beginning to reach critical mass, I've recently added several expressways between the larger feeder industries and the factory complexes.

Screenshots are high res, 1680x1050. Taken me a few days to adjust to having all this extra real-estate visible, the extra distance between the menus and where I was building has slowed me up somewhat.

Awesome, but which train set is that, and could it be used in Arctic?

Wringwood Transport has come a long way in 8 years. The west-south line's old termnial now serves a local line, and two new terminals have been built. All lines have been converted to electric. I will probably need to expand the max station limit soon too. A factory and an entirely seperate station have been built as well, although it hasn't seen much traffic yet having started with no industries. I keep investigating individual bus stops only to find thousands of passengers waiting. I've added a token heliport to go along with the token dock as well.

This one is a nice one: busses replace all signals except normal ones.
