Thanks! I think what happened is the station planners got particularly excited by the architects' new station designs and went a bit over the top! :wink:

And Michael - great pictures. And all these new stations are amazing! :D

To honor my amazement with MBlunck's great "NewStations", I post three pictures from my current game:

I recently made a 4-lane 4-way junction when I upgraded my network to 4-lane. I now have 4-lane network going over the entire map in a 4x4 layout. Is this junction any good? took quite some while to figure it out, but it seems to be working okay...
It works by having the 2 lanes in each direction in the middle being dedicated. Only the outer lanes turns right and left. This means that the trains not turning in this intersection don't have to wait for the ones who do. They can go directly through.

Same junction in the alpine climate. Try getting that big (22x22 squares) flat surface that high (hard :) ) the Backbone of my network

You should consider using PBS, no need for those big junctions anymore! :D

Talking about big junctions, I've got one final pic from my game - I'm probably going to start a new one soon, maybe Tropical for a change.

I realised I kept posting pics of main stations rather than junctions or lines in between, so here's a junction (and a station :P)

Three routes converge here, a passenger route to the west, the mainline to the north (passengers & freight) and the iron ore/steel route to the east.

In the picture three trains from all three routes are going south, so there's a bit of a holdup. The passengers on the Voyager are probably complaining that a slow freight train has got in first! :)

The dining/cafeteria carriage. I think it automatically appears if you build the train long enough.

yup, i think theres a DBXL schemata out there somewhere, perhaps mr. blunk can link us to it, it tells you what all the trains should be used for, and how little goodies like this can be found

Let me hint to the "donotreadme" which gives all required information. In addition, there´s the comprehensive DB Set Tutorial by Uwe.

@Jim Powers
You seem to get a substantial discount on ICE prices. 8)
