I dont really got a favo map, maybe cause I dont make my own. And if I do they suck. I go for the random map, and pick my settings on in the difficultysetting.on temparete and the latin one. And if i dont like the map I get I keep starting untill i find a better one
I remember when I was plaing without TTDPatch ... I was tring to play on random game with HARD difficulty .... I was always bankupt ... it was a long ago ... but it is fun to remember it , now I'm laughing at this
I always play at the hard level on a random map, using TTDPatch minimally (well, perhaps only to renew carriages periodically and to bring the money down when it reaches its upper limit , and I always succeed!
I usually play randomly generated games with both industries and towns on "low" - I find if you have too many towns close together the track layouts just get so complicated.
I like a few of the built in scenarios - Linkgame Islands and High&Low are couple good ones.
I use a random map, then change it a bit in the editor
Sometimes coalmines are too close to the power station
growing the towns a bit, filling up a few holes, adding some industries
Just until it suits me
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future
I also play mostly on random maps, it is far more interesting imo. MY favorite is to play random temprate custom at highest possibe difficulty ^^ yeah
OTOH - I don't belive if any of my companies ever gone bankrupt. But memory may fail me you know ^^.
My competitiors always go bankrupt, and I don't even do anything to make them go bankrupt. They just loan out money and the interest makes them go bankrupt. Ususally only one company makes it through the game, that would be me!!!
My favourite map is the one from the Zeeland scenario.
I don't know but it feels like a more realistic map. I mean if you play on a map of the USA for instance. If you compare the size of your trainstations to the rest of the USA...... They are enormous
With the much smaler maps it just looks more realistic to me.
I always create my own maps. Often on hilly but sometimes on mountaineous (and always in temperate). That way I can ensure I have the maximum amount of cities, otherwise I am finished with the game too soon.
