Fundraising for a new server

Well, I have a PayPal account, but I very rarely use it, and for a good reason: They won't let you send more than a certain small amount, I think $1500, in the life of your account, unless you give them a bank account number. Now I don't mind giving them a credit card, because if there's any trouble, by law I am liable for $50 max. But if there's a problem with my bank account, it could be cleaned out completely and I'm totally on my own. So, it'll be a frosty day in h**l before I ever give my bank account to an online company.

Well, I've used PayPal for about a year and three months, and have had no problems with it. Many of the problems mentioned on that site seem to be related to eBay or buying goods, and then wanting refunds. Now, unless you're really starving (and can prove it), you're unlikely to get a refund from me for a donation, to be honest... it's going to be spent on this server once we get enough money!

Thee was indeed a problem with Paypal and eBay users. I believe they Paypal settled the cases with eBay customers and also changed their TOS. I think if you use your common sense you won't get into trouble.

Note to everyone else though... the server will still have to be paid for in the future, so if you can spare money now and then, please do consider donating still.
