Transport Tycoon Original Deluxe [ABANDONNED]
Moderator: Graphics Moderators
Look, people, there's no need to panic over copyrighted graphics. I could give a whole list of reasons, but a big one is:
The TTD graphics are so small, and the palette is so limited, that if you were to draw, say, tracks completely from scratch, if they stayed in the same TTD size-scale, they would still be almost identical to the original ones. As long as you make some changes, who could tell whether you "started from scratch" or "started from the originals"? If they wanted to make trouble they could do so either way, and either way they would be very unlikely to get anywhere in court.

Well.. I've got me new PC now!!!! YaY!
This PC has: a 3 ghz processor. 512 MB DDR (:o) RAM, an NVidea FX5200 128 MB RAM graphics card, a wireless optical mouse with panning mousewheel, a wireless keyboard, a remote control (so cool!), a Harman/Kardon sound set (only 2.1, but it's getting upgraded later anyhow), a DVD+R/RW, and some other cool stuff
Soooo, Now that I have everything I could ever want, that TTOD set should be here somewhere around christmas

Oops, I split away GoneWacko's last post in this topic by accident:

But it all works and it's a huge improvement for me
Ofcourse I'm already saving money for one of em cool ATI Radeon 9800 (XT, maybe)'s
BTW: I was saving for a better PC, but I could get this one with the money I had AND save some cash: there was a 'PC Privé'-project which really means that we could get around €300 off. Ordering this PC was something I couldn't refuse

Disaster!

The TTOD set's graphics seem to have gone lost when I was copying my files to my New PC.. the old PC's HD has been formatted which means: Start over!
Ah well... Better than not working on it at all...

As a way of officially re-opening the project AND having some fun, I have been remaking the TT Demo's titlescreen for TTD...
This is a pic from my first try...
The cities are hard to do because they destroy the terrain and I can't place the structures myself...
The terrain is also unaligned somewhere... I have 1 cell to much in the valley...
Pretty good for a first try though...
[EDIT] took me some time but here's a screenshot of the TT Demo's titlescreen

I was indeed wondering the same thing... How do I solve the bridges...
It would indeed mean A. TTDPatch support B. Replacing a bridge and finding a way to make the AI/Towns not use it...
AND it would mean doing the monorails AGAIN, but on TTD landscape... And the monorails are the hardest tracks to accomplish

Maybe... Not sure... Depends on how fast I'm progressing ( Although I may have found an interesting way of quickly getting back at where I want to be...)SHADOW-XIII wrote: (GoneWacko any chance to get only monorail replacement?)

O M G
I had FINALLY gotten the terrain done, (grass, lumpy grass, rocks), and the god damn PC crashed out again... First time it happened in Windows itself.. But then again, I WAS doing some graphical stuff...
I hate this..
Ah well.. Regular saves aren't a bad idea...
